Surveillance

Surveillance is the foundation of mosquito control operations and one of the most important factors behind every treatment decision we make.

Every day, our team collects and evaluates data to understand where mosquitoes are, what species are present, and how populations are changing. This includes monitoring for larval activity, trapping and counting adult mosquitoes, inspections throughout the county, and other surveillance efforts.

This information helps determine if treatment is needed, where it is needed, and what type of treatment is appropriate. Surveillance data drives both daytime and nighttime operations, allowing our team to make informed, targeted decisions based on what is actually happening throughout the community.

We don’t just treat mosquitoes, we monitor first. Surveillance guides the mission.
